Am I allowed to have this much fun? I’m being serious. Nothing gets my juices flowing more than connecting with Main Street Ohioans—though sparring a bit with Rep. Tracy Richardson this morning at the Union County Republicans First Friday Breakfast over the failure of Ohio’s supermajority legislature to get key policies enacted definitely comes in close second. You can see a video clip of my remarks on my Twitter account (@ohiomatt). I suppose when you unapologetically stand for bold conservative principles and speak your mind, it’s easy to feel the thrill of the arena.
We’ve now have booked or are in the process of finalizing twenty-two speaking events in seventeen counties in the coming weeks and months, with the Worthington Area Republican Club being the most recent addition. Check out the picture attached to find one close to you. If you run a group, please let me know when I can come talk to your group about my agenda to renew Ohio. You can email me at mayer4governor@gmail.com.
Also, read my review of Siddharth Kara's excellent and sobering "Cobalt Red: How the Blood of the Congo Powers Our Lives” — Kara spent time in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to investigate child slave labor in mines producing cobalt corporations use in batteries for phones, electric vehicles, wind turbines, and solar panels. It is a hard read, but worth the investment of time.
For those wanting to hear me go into some detail about my agenda, check out this :35 podcast with American Political Paradise. If you have a Spotify account, you can watch the video of the interview.
Finally, here is this week’s interview on the Bruce Hooley Show covering East Palestine, the human and environmental destruction caused by electric vehicles, and why Ohio needs to eliminate the state income tax.
Enjoy!
