Because Nothing Says “I Believe Women” More Than Ignoring Multiple Claims Against Doug Emhoff and Deploying Misogynist-In-Chief Bill Clinton for Campaign Events
I can see why Emhoff married Harris, as she will make sure his affairs can be covered up, overlooks his lecherousness, and ignores his past physical abuse.
As I’ve said for years, the Clintons are the gift that keeps on giving, as anything the Left accuses the Right of was done first by Bill or Hillary Clinton. Womanizing? Check. Cheating on your spouse with “trailer trash?” Check. Using the power of your office for personal gain (literally)? Check. Lying (even under oath)? Check. Misusing classified information? Check. Embellishing your biography? Check. Using businesses to live a lavish lifestyle? Check. Consorting with foreign actors to influence an election? Check. Claiming election fraud? Check. Refusing to concede your opponent legitimately won the election? Check. Visiting Epstein’s Island? Check. And the list goes on and on and on and on. It shouldn’t strike anyone as anything less than ironic that Kamala Harris is so desperate to get men to vote for her that she is resorting to sending Clinton out to shill for her. How any serious woman can overlook everything that Clinton did over the years to women just shows how out-of-whack our political system is today? Clinton should be relegated to the fringes as the scumbag he is (though admittedly I’d love to have a beer with him versus any other living president, as it would be fascinating).
Whatever.
In terms of Second Gentleman (not so gentle according to one woman) Emhoff, his conduct over the years is relevant not because he is a man or a Democrat or fraud. His conduct is relevant because of what Harris said and did during the process to confirm Brett Kavanaugh as a U.S. Supreme Court Justice. At the height of that process, the “me too” and “believe women” movements hit their loudest crescendos. When Christine Blasey Ford came forward with the vaguest of claims against Kavanaugh from thirty years ago in which not a single witness confirmed her account or testified that she had contemporaneously told her about the events she claims occurred at a house she couldn’t recall where exactly it was, Harris nonetheless charged headfirst into the scrum to malign and slur Kavanaugh facts be damned. Even when those people, including her supposed friend, who were present refuted every element of Blasey Ford’s claims, Harris implored America that we must “believe women” and keep Kavanaugh off the court.
In case you have forgotten, here is what Harris said:
I believe her. Listen, first of all, anybody who comes forward at this point to be prepared to testify in the United States Senate against someone who’s being nominated to one of the most powerful positions in the united States government, that takes an extraordinary amount of courage. She’s doing it, I believe, because she knows that this is an important matter. It’s a serious matter. And she has the courage to come forward. She has nothing to gain. What does she have to gain? Many cases where there was enough evidence to believe something happened but not necessarily prove it beyond a reasonable doubt in a courtroom, but it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
Read that paragraph again. Every word of it applies with full force to the various claims that have come out against her husband, Emhoff. Even worse for Harris, unlike with Blasey Ford, the worst claim against Emhoff comes with a contemporaneous photo proving he was with the accuser where she said his attack on her occurred and she told a friend in tears within moments of it occurring that it had happened. For many jurors, such direct evidence would be enough to convict Emhoff beyond a reasonable doubt.
Harris also went after Trump on the E. Jean Carroll case in which Carroll, like Blasey Ford, accused Trump of raping her way back in 1994ish, but could produce no evidence of that rape, got the dates and dress she allegedly wore wrong, had told no one about the rape when it happened, and made exculpatory comments about Trump and (shockingly) rape. Luckily, she had a biased New York legislature and governor to change the law for her, a biased New York City judge and prosecutor to go after Trump, and a biased New York City jury to find Trump guilty of sexual abuse — though it looks likely the case will be overturned on appeal. In a 2019 political ad which predates the civil Carroll trial, Harris claimed “I prosecuted sex predators. Trump is one.” Based on a growing body of evidence, it looks like Harris, in fact, didn’t take a single case to trial during her time as a prosecutor. Hell, in my short four-year legal career, I tried three cases (and won all three).
To summarize, here are the various and far more substantiated claims against Emhoff who Biden Administration alumnus hack Jen Psaki claimed was ‘redefining masculinity”:
Had an affair on his first wife with his kids’ teacher and nanny;
Got that woman pregnant;
Forced that woman to sign a Nondisclosure Agreement (NDA) to never tell anyone about the pregnancy;
Paid the woman $80,000 to sign the NDA;
Caused the woman to abort the baby;
Hired only attractive women as managing partner of his law firm;
Had those attractive women accompany him to events; and
Hit a girlfriend in the face so hard that it caused her to spin around.
Those things don’t sound like redefining masculinity; rather, they sound more like reversing masculinity back to the caveman era. Again, Emhoff is clearly a Clinton-Anthony Weiner-type slimball and his conduct towards women wouldn’t be relevant except for the fact that his wife is running for president and has served as the MOST outspoken member of the “me too” and “believe women” movements. In any universe in which the media is not biased, Harris would be inundated with media inquiries about the Emhoff allegations. In our universe, had such allegations been launched against the husband of ANY Republican woman running for high office (e.g., Kristi Noem or Elise Stefanik), that woman would be flooded with questions about her husband’s conduct.
Sadly, the media shows no interest in asking Harris about whether she believes the woman who claims Emhoff attacked her. That fact is simply another searing indictment of our media and the bias it has towards the Left. They know Harris needs to overwhelming win the female vote to stand any chance of defeating Trump in November, so won’t dare do anything to undermine that support. If you are a woman and you vote for Harris, understand you are voting for a fraud when it comes to protecting women from abusive and misogynistic men (or even protecting girls and young women from having to compete against biological boys and young men). I can see why Emhoff married Harris, as she will make sure his affairs can be covered up, overlooks his lecherousness, and ignores his past physical abuse. Trump may be lots of things, but he isn’t a fraud and enabler like Harris nor a violent cad like Emhoff.
P.S. I learned a new word today from someone commenting on my column from last week. As the picture below shows, I was accused of being a “gynophobe,” which apparently is someone who fears women. Please don’t tell my successful daughters that in reality I fear their success and growing power.
