Kamala Harris's McDonald’s “Fry Girl” Claim Shows Why She Sinks On the Big Stage
She is little more than a mediocre and opportunistic politician with far left progressive views from the most leftist state in America. No amount of McDonald’s fries will change those facts.
My first job was delivering newspapers from age 12 to 15 in my Spring Grove neighborhood for the now-defunct Columbus Citizen-Journal followed by the Columbus Dispatch. I can still go through the paper route in my head that I would ride every morning with my dog, Duchess, including the one bypass between yards. My second job was bagging groceries at the old Super Duper (now a Wal-Mart Super Center) in Westerville on the corner of Schrock Road and Otterbein Avenue. My third job was making pizzas for Donatos at the shop on State Street in Westerville. My fourth job was making food and ice cream treats at the Dairy Queen on the corner of Schrock Road and Karl Road in Columbus. Before I headed to college in August of 1989, I worked three jobs to earn as much money as I could: at the DQ at nights, for Mrs. McConnell doing small landscape jobs in the afternoons, and cleaning hotel rooms at the Signature Inn (now Ramada Inn) also off of Schrock Road in the early mornings. I could go on with details about EVERY job I’ve held up to my current job.
Why am I providing you with so much detail about my middle school-through-high school employment record?
Because it defies credibility and common sense that Kamala Harris cannot provide even a scintilla of evidence that she actually worked at McDonald’s one summer "in her twenties" in Oakland as part of her “middle class” upbringing in a posh Montreal neighborhood. Harris was twenty in 1984 when I was delivering newspapers. Other than her claim that she was “the fry girl,” she can’t (or won’t) give the location of the McDonald’s, what year it was that she mastered the fry station during college, any individuals she worked with that summer, or social security records showing her W-2 statement from the era (or, at worst, her social security summary showing she earned income that summer). To boot, McDonald’s hasn't released any records of her working for the company. Harris’s McDonald’s story, like so many of her stories (e.g. her MLK plagiarized “fweedom" story) and running mate Tim Walz’s now catalog of biographical lies, is just another weak attempt to connect with Main Street Americans due to her inability to genuinely and naturally connect. Even left-leaning Snopes came up empty after digging into the claim, rendering it an “unproven” claim.
Let me suggest that the McDonald’s fabrication is exactly why Harris’s 2019 presidential run ended so badly and why, despite massive media help and over a billion dollars, her 2024 presidential run is rapidly losing altitude. Harris simply lacks authenticity, which turns off voters. As my wise political mentor once told me, people need to like you in order to vote for you. With Harris’s inauthenticity problem, her already unlikability factor skyrockets the more voters actually she or hear her. Base Democrats will vote for her because they would vote for any Democrat over any Republican and even more so over Donald Trump. To win a presidential race via the Electoral College, however, the winner must expand his or her voter group well beyond his or her base. Harris struggles mightily to do that. She first rolled out the McDonald’s story during the 2019 presidential race to connect with Democrat service industry union voters. It didn’t work then. She’s gone back to the well with the story to appeal to undecided voters who lack a college degree so likely worked, like I did, from the moment they were legally allowed to work. The appeal appears to have failed again.
Harris is neither the Clintonian “poor boy from Hope” nor the Obamian Rorschach Ink Blot of “hope and change.” She is little more than a mediocre and opportunistic politician with far left progressive views from the most leftist state in America. No amount of McDonald’s fries will change those facts.
P.S. Speaking of Bill Clinton, do you think his verbal slip-up in Georgia was accidental in which he crucified Harris by noting that Laken Riley would still be alive if THEY (the Biden-Harris Administration) had properly vetted the illegal immigrant murderer? I don’t. The Clintons comprise the most narcissistic couple in the history of the world. While they despise Trump and likely don’t want to see him in the White House again, their interest in not seeing Hillary be the only one who couldn’t beat Trump is higher. As they say, misery loves company and history will be less harsh on Clinton if Harris joins her in the loser’s box. Plus, the Clintons will be able to fleece a lot of rich people and countries out of money for the Clinton Foundation if Trump the Hitlerian threat to democracy is back in charge.
