Joe Biden’s Foreign Policy Is Screaming America Is the Weak Horse

Communist China. Ronna McDaniel. Alex Triantafilo. University of Michigan. America is suffering from an acute absence of accountability and consequences.

Osama bid Laden infamously once stated, "When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature they will like the strong horse.” He believe America in the 1990s had become a weak horse. In my book Homeland Security and Federalism: Protecting America from Outside the Beltway, I discussed bid Laden’s theory of the weak horse based on the “Black Hawk Down” event in Somalia. I wrote:

In the 1996 fatwa, bin Laden referred to the event as follows:

But your most disgraceful case was in Somalia; where—after vigorous propaganda about the power of the USA and its post cold war leadership of the new world order—you moved tens of thousands of international force, including twenty-eight thousands American solders into Somalia. However, when tens of your solders were killed in minor battles and one American Pilot was dragged in the streets of Mogadishu you left the area carrying disappointment, humiliation, defeat and your dead with you. Clinton appeared in front of the whole world threatening and promising revenge, but these threats were merely a preparation for withdrawal. You have been disgraced by Allah and you withdrew; the extent of your impotence and weaknesses became very clear.

Whether right or wrong, bin Laden believed that the perceived American response to Beirut, Aden, and Mogadishu showed that the United States was a ‘‘weak horse.’’

Soon thereafter, the 9/11 terrorist attack happened killing nearly 3,000 Americans, bringing down 250+ floors of buildings, and ripping a hole in the Pentagon. 

It is clear the Left has learned nothing in the last twenty-two years, as Joe Biden’s foreign policy is screaming from the highest mountain that America is again the weak horse. From the horrific withdrawal from Afghanistan to the Russian re-invasion of Ukraine (funny, that keeps happening when Democrats occupy The White House), from groveling to the mullahs in Iran to the collapse of any semblance of border security, the Biden Administration has experienced failure-after-failure when it comes to foreign policy. Nothing, however, compares to its utter capitulation to the Communist Chinese government over the COVID virus and the production of fentanyl, both of which have killed nearly 2,000,000 Americans over the last decade.

Instead of demanding accountability and pushing for consequences, the Biden Administration is allowing Chinese President Xi Jinping to come to America. The Chinese government knowingly unleashed the Wuhan virus (known as COVID for the politically correct) on the West when it allowed international travel to continue for nearly two months despite shutting down ALL domestic travel within China from Hubei Providence/Wuhan. They knew the virus would bring medical and economic catastrophe on America. Not only did it kill over 1,100,000 Americans and cause untold economic damage, it did massive harm to the education and mental health of our kids, with many impacted in a manner from which they will never recover. The Chinese government also has stonewalled any effort to investigate the Wuhan virus. The Chinese government’s acts against the West in 2020 was biologically an Act of War.

Thus, allowing Jinping to come to America is the equivalent of allowing Adolph Hitler to come to America during World War II. It is madness. As I laid out in my agenda for Governor of Ohio, Congress should pass a law limiting the immunity of China (and Mexico) so states and Americans can sue it for its acts and omissions regarding the Wuhan virus, fentanyl, and the theft of our jobs beginning in 2001. We did that for Saudi Arabia so the victims of 9/11 could hold that government accountable for its role in the terrorist attack. We should treat Communist China no differently. 

Instead, Biden grovels when it comes to China. That doesn’t surprise me given what we now know about his family’s corrupt involvement with Communist Chinese front companies and the millions paid to the Biden Family from those front companies. Biden is a compromised president doing untold harm to our long-term national security interests. Despite the news blackout by the Left’s media sycophants, a strong majority of Americans believe Biden acted illegally and/or unethically in peddling his political offices for money. If Americans want a more secure country and world, they must understand Ronald Reagan’s maxim of “peace through strength” wasn’t just a cliche; rather, it was a fundamental law of foreign policy. America must be seen as the strong horse again. That won’t happen with Biden and the Left in power. 

P.S. In follow up to my post last week about the terrible results for the Right from the recent election, I believe Vivek Rameswamy is absolutely right that Ronna McDaniel should resign as the Chair of the Republican National Committee. Under her tenure since 2017, Republicans have lost repeatedly. The same goes for Ohio Republican Party Chairman Alex Triantafilou. Since his election a year ago, Ohio Republicans have seen their party split by a ridiculous fight over House Speaker in which moderates sided with Democrats to elected a moderate Speaker, Republicans lost handily the August Special Election on increasing the threshold to amend the Ohio Constitution via ballot initiatives, and finally they got slaughtered last week on both the pro-abortion constitutional amendment and the legalization of marijuana. Under no interpretation can anyone defend Triantafilou’s tenure. Triantafilou is largely a lifelong government employee with zero experience running campaigns or strategy other than standing by as Hamilton County became a Democrat stronghold. Both McDaniel and Triantafilou need to resign and be replaced with aggressive, strategic leaders who know how to win. 

P.P.S. In follow up to my post on cheating in America, I just wanted to add that it is absurd that the University of Michigan is fighting the Big Ten and the NCAA when the evidence is overwhelming that it illegally stole signs beginning in 2021 by having in-person spies at future opponent’s games. Michigan’s actions now, however, are just par for the course when it comes to cheating in America these days. The honorable thing to do would be to admit it cheated and self-impose a death sentence on itself. And for those who want to spare the players, I’ve seen too much video evidence showing the players were in on the scheme, so they must suffer consequences, too. Pushing one guy off the sideline for three games is simply a joke of a punishment.
