I just got back from a Spring Break trip with my son to England and Scotland. We had a blast. During our time in the United Kingdom, we visited historic places that should serve as reminders of why we continue the fight for freedom and security. I’ve attached a few pictures from the trip showing Hadrian’s Wall outside of Newcastle (walls DO work), the William Wallace Memorial Tower near Stirling Castle (Braveheart, though factually a bit off, to this day inspires the Scottish people), and the Robert the Bruce Memorial at Bannockburn (where he defeated the English to secure Scottish Independence).
For fun, I see the picture of me holding a replica of William Wallace’s sword—apparently he was a huge man who wielded a six-foot sword…and, yes, I yelled “Freedom!” when I held it:-)
We also visited the National Football (Soccer) Museum in Manchester where we came upon this painting of Donald Trump with Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin suppressing the world’s people. Beyond the ridiculousness of this painting being at a sports museum, the absurdity of lumping Trump with Jinping (murdered millions of Uighurs and launched a pandemic killing tens of millions) and Putin (invaded Ukraine among other things) spurred even my twelve-year-old son to roll his eyes.
Lastly, for those in the Cincinnati/Dayton area, I’ll be speaking tomorrow night at St. Gertrude the Great Church in West Chester (4900 Rialto Rd, West Chester, OH 45069) at 7:00pm. Please come say “Hi.”
You see that kind of propaganda all over Europe. Many of them honestly believe that Donald Trump, whom I've met in person and is a total sweetie, is akin to Putin and Xi. I adore Europe, but so many of them are just irredeemably brainwashed.
We need brave hearts like you as Ohio’s next governor.
