Vivek Ramaswamy Needs to Fix His Campaign ASAP

From dialing down his ego to shedding the Kasich crew to who he should pick for Lieutenant Governor, the clock is ticking on Ramaswamy’s viability.

There are 310 days until the November 4, 2026, mid-term elections. The latest polling shockingly has Republican Vivek Ramaswamy trailing Democrat Amy Acton by one point a year after Donald Trump won Ohio by eleven points. Some will dismiss that polling by blaming Trump’s “affordability” troubles, but a twelve point swing from Red to Blue is about far more than errant presidential messaging. There are reasons Ramaswamy trails Acton, which I detail below and prescribe actions he needs to take to right the ship. Team Ramaswamy won’t like what I have to say, but I call things as I see them no matter Red, Blue, or Purple. Given his massive personal money advantage along with Trump’s ill-advised early endorsement, Ramaswamy will easily win the Republican Primary, so fixing what isn’t working for the general election is critical if he wants to win.
