Donald Trump Needs To Stop Making Asinine Claims on Iran, As He’s Putting Republican Control of Congress In Deep Trouble
“It’s the economy, stupid!” — Democrat Guru James Carville, 1992 Presidential Campaign
Yes, it was in 1992, is right now, and will be on November 3, 2026. You know that. I know that. Main Street Americans know that. Democrats know that. The media knows that. It doesn’t appear Donald Trump knows that. Like truly knows that. You get the sense he sometimes thinks he can bend political reality to his will, but if he looked at the last three presidential elections, he’d realize he can’t. He won in 2016 because his economic message resonated more than Hillary Clinton’s did. He lost in 2020 because the severe pandemic shutdown got blamed on him (and the Left and the media rigged the election via four years of hoaxes and mass mail-in ballots). He won in 2024 because Joe Biden’s economy was terrible and Trump’s pre-pandemic shutdown economy was great.
Despite this unbreakable fact, Trump is neck deep in a war in Iran in which little is being said about Iran’s nuclear material, which I believe destroying or taking is THE ONLY outcome worth the fight and damage to the U.S. economy. Every day, Trump makes idiotic statements that are contradicted by what is happening in the Middle East. He says Iran’s capabilities are decimated, yet Iran is still launching large numbers of missiles and drones daily doing damage to our allies in the region. He says we’ve won, yet Iran still seems to control the Straits of Hormuz. He says the war is over, yet Iran still possesses the enriched uranium. Trump needs to shut up until the war is actually won once we possess the enriched uranium and truly control the Straits of Hormuz. Otherwise, he will look increasingly foolish and delusional to Main Street Americans.
In the video below, I discuss exactly why Trump and Republican control of Congress are in deep trouble.
